Winnipeg's economy is growing and a strong economy requires ongoing evaluation to improve efficiency and access to services. We are working with businesses and business organizations to learn more about the challenges they have experienced when interacting with the City of Winnipeg, and will develop a list of top 10 outdated by-laws or regulations that could be eliminated or streamlined to make doing business with the City more efficient.
Through this initiative, we are hoping you will help us answer:
The first step will be collecting feedback from businesses on their experiences with red tape at the City of Winnipeg.
This open call will be followed by grouping that feedback into themes and arranging meetings with businesses and business organizations to discuss and prioritize into a top 10 list. The feedback from businesses will be discussed with the Public Service, so they are able to help identify the areas where immediate action can be taken and the steps required addressing the red tape identified by stakeholders.
