Residential Parking Ban Begins Wednesday, Jan. 9

As of Wednesday, Jan. 9, the City of Winnipeg has declared a Residential Parking Ban to allow for the City's snow clearing operation. 

All residential streets have been assigned to a snow zone. Each snow zone will be identified by a letter of the alphabet. It's important that all city residents become familiar with their zone. You can look up your residential street snow zone with our address lookup tool or by contacting 311.

The Residential Parking Ban is effective on the following schedule of dates and times with respect to zones established by previous declarations and published on the City of Winnipeg website:

  • Wednesday, January 9, 2019 from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 9, 2019

  • Wednesday, January 9, 2019 from 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. Thursday, January 10, 2019
    C, F, I, K, N, R, U
  • Thursday, January 10, 2019 from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, January 10, 2019

  • Thursday, January 10, 2019 from 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. Friday, January 11, 2019

Vehicles parked in violation of the residential parking ban will receive a $150 ticket ($112.50 if paid early), and may be towed to a nearby street that is not scheduled to be plowed or that has already been cleared. (Note: Tickets will only be issued from 11:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. See Winter Parking Bans Update for more information.) If your vehicle has been towed, please call 311 for its location.
