Residential River Heights protected

July, 2010 - The City of Winnipeg Appeals committee agreed with the public administration that operating a business at Elm St. and Academy Rd. was inconsistent with the area.

The proposed business therefore was not given a conditional use order allowing them to do so.

This decision reflects the City's desire to ensure that the historic residential nature of the North River Heights neighbourhood must be protected.

I have attached the order for your review and I spoke at the hearing in opposition to the appeal.
