As recently presented data has shown, Winnipeg's existing infrastructure is not getting any better.
For every one street that is repaired two streets fall into deeper disrepair.
This is unacceptable. We must invest in our existing roads before we start building new ones. We're not managing our old infrastructure properly. We've neglected it and we continue to neglect it. The fact that more streets are failing than we're actually repairing is just an example it's going to get worse.
This is a reason why I voted against the transportation master plan.
