The Living Prairie Museum is inviting the public to take part in Prairie Planting Workshops to learn how to grow native plants at home. This April and May, instructor John Morgan of Prairie Habitats Inc. will help workshop participants increase biodiversity in their own backyard.
Attendees will find out how prairie species can be included in their landscape designs, and why using native plant material is important for conservation. The workshops will guide learners through site preparation, seed germination, and planting for flower beds or larger prairie restorations.
Each workshop includes a presentation, discussion and seed prep demonstration.
Registration fee is $35.00 plus GST, or $25.00 for Friends of the Living Prairie Museum members.
