It is that time again in the yearly cycle of the Fort Garry Community Centre when the Annual General Meeting occurs and elections happen for the Board of Directors. The date for this year’s AGM is Monday, April 18, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. at our Hobson site, 880 Oakenwald Ave. Refreshments will be served.
This year is an ‘even’ year for elections as explained in our Bylaws and the following positions are to be elected:
1) Vice President (Operations)
3) Vice President (Sports and Recreation)
There is also the position of Treasurer from the ‘odd’ election years that is currently vacant.
The Board of Directors provides direction to the ongoing operation of the Centre such as programs, sports and recreation activities, hall rentals, etc.
Please respond to the centre by email to email@example.com by April 6, 2016 with your interest to join the Board of Directors for your Community Centre. This information will be used to compile a list of candidates for the person who will be conducting the elections.
