The City of Winnipeg will be getting out of the arena "business" by divesting the 15 City owned arenas to another party.

The process has begun with a tender process to determine interest.

The concern is accessibility which can be addressed through local non-profit partnership rather than the preferred choice of privately owned four-plex arenas.
